Sheila Charles BEAR GRYLLS
I’m a big fan of David Walliams.
We have three things in common, yes.
We’re both British, we both love writing
And we both try to be funny, to impress!
When he judges the contestants
In the Britain’s Got talent show,
he usually votes for the comedians.
I would do that too, I know!
But that’s all we have in common
As David Walliams is super fit
He swam the English Channel for charity
Whereas I can’t even swim, I admit.
He also cycled for many miles
For another good cause too.
Cycling is another thing I would never willingly do.
So when I read in The Listener
That he was Bear Gryll’s guest, on T.V.
I decided that I must watch it.
Though I did think rather home than me!
They both went exploring in Devon.
Up every hill and sown every dale.
He nearly collapsed scaling a cliff.
I could feel myself turning pale.
Of course he survived, however,
What gave me food for thought
Was the fact that he found it so difficult
And at times was overwrought.
But he knew we would see him at his worst.
Gosh that guy is such a good sport.
I’m really glad I’m a nonentity
As Bear Grylls won’t have heard of me
So I will never be asked to accompany him
And thus appear vulnerable on the T.V.
Therefore nobody will ever know
How helpless and hopeless I would be!
